Todd celebrates £750k order to help with Boxer programme
Todd Engineering has won a £750,000 order to supply a spraybooth for the new military Boxer armoured vehicles.
The company is making the 26-metre long Titan external spraybooth for WFEL in Stockport.
Family-owned Todd in Armitage Road, Rugeley, are leading paint spraybooth manufacturers and have been going for 35 years. It manufactures, installs and commissions spraybooths with its own engineers.
WFEL has recently won an order for 100 more Boxers for the Army. The contract extension will include extra infantry carrier vehicles, command and control vehicles and ambulances. The UK Boxer programme has created an additional 120 jobs at WFEL
Todd Engineering managing director Lee Todd said: “It is a very interesting job for us to provide a standalone building.” The WFEL spraybooth will have two work areas with the paint are equipped with a compressed air system and a dust extraction unit.
Mr Todd said the company was already very busy with orders and had a continuing recruitment programme. Todd recently completed a big job to provider facilities for airline Emirates in Dubai
