Todd Engineering’s Titan CV Spraybooth is proving popular for 2017 with another installation recently completed for Huddersfield based Mac’s Trucks. The family run firm which was founded in 1973 by present owner Alec McDade is one of the largest family owned truck sales establishments in the UK. The company has recently completed it’s move from their old site on New Hey Road in Outlane, where it has been based for the last 40 years, to a new multi-million pound purpose built facility at Lindley Moor.
The new building houses a 15 bay workshop, including two bays for the new Paintshop as well as two floors of offices. Managing Director Alec McDade said that Mac Trucks are now recruiting to add to its 21-strong workforce – with a variety of roles in the Paintshop, Fabrication shop, mechanics and valeting.
Todd Engineering were selected from a number of spraybooth manufacturers to supply the Paintshop equipment, including the 18 metre long Titan Commercial Vehicle spraybooth. The spraybooth was designed to fit into the end bay of the new building and incorporates roof mounted air handling plant to maximise available space in the rest of the Paintshop. The specification also includes High, Mid and Low Level Lighting using Todd Engineering’s state-of-the-art LED boards, Relux calculations were performed by Todd Engineering to demonstrate how the system easily achieves high quality lighting levels in excess of 1750 lux – giving painters a perfectly illuminated environment whilst maximising energy efficiency. The spraybooth features Inverter variable speed drive motors as standard and a PLC touch screen control panel, for further information on our Titan CV Spraybooths please contact our sales team.
